UKUB, Association of tool and mold makers in Turkey

The Association of Turkish tool and mold makers (UKUB) was established by decision of the Council of Ministers on 21 February 2002 in Bursa / Turkey. This institution represents all the companies and their employees who are employed in the tool and mold making industry in Turkey and provide services for them. UKUB is the first and only organization representing this industry segment in Turkey and abroad. The association is a non-governmental organization and is working hard to implement successful measures to increase the international importance of the Turkish tool- and mold-industry in a generally growing market. The aim is to offer national and international clients with the help of improved technology a higher production quality and better service. UKUB supports its members, for example, to sustainable strengthen competitiveness through training and education. A new initiative is concerned, for example, with the reorganization of the Turkish education system and apprenticeship for toolmakers. In the future, theory and practice are to complement each other ideally. In this way the much needed qualified young tool makers shall be trained practice-oriented and moreover the tool makers profession to increase appeal. By now (2015) UKUB has more than 235 members, mainly from the sector of tool and mold making, from research and teaching, from the rest of industry and some honorary members.
